Field and farm focus this Autumn

Focus on the flower farm this month is preparation, security, irrigation, seed planting and early establishment.

Deer and rabbit fencing is now in place and gates installed for controlled access and perimeter security.

The water is ready to flow for the drip irrigation, thanks to 100 metre piping, now trenched and buried and awaiting connection to the mains.

We have a greenhouse full of seedlings and stock plants. These will soon be ready to split and transplant into our new compost beds. Recent deliveries of 10 tonnes of a 50:50 soil/compost mix will allow for a healthy home for the next phase of planting.
